Milwaukee County Zoo Hours

The Milwaukee County Zoo has varying hours throughout the year. Here's the schedule:


From September 5 through October 31:

  • Daily: 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

From November 1 through December 31:

  • Weekdays: 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

  • Weekends: 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.


The zoo is closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. Please note that admission gates close 45 minutes prior to the zoo's closing time, and animal buildings close 15 minutes before closing. This schedule allows visitors to enjoy the zoo while providing the animals with a consistent routine.
