The operating hours for Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine are as follows:


Regular Hours (October 1 - May 14):


  • Park: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Sunday - Saturday)

  • Visitor Center: 9:00 AM - 4:45 PM (Sunday - Saturday)


Summer Hours (May 15 - September 30):

  • Park grounds and parking lots: 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Sunday - Saturday)

  • Park Visitor Center and Bookstore: 9:00 AM - 5:45 PM (Sunday - Saturday)

  • Star Fort Historic Zone: 9:00 AM - 5:45 PM (Sunday - Saturday)

Entrance Fees

Here are the entrance fees for Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine:


Annual Entrance Pass:

  • Price: $45.00

  • Validity: Good for 12 months

  • Allows entry for the pass holder plus up to 3 adults


7-Day Pass:

  • Price: $15.00

  • Validity: Good for 1 adult


Children 15 and Under:

  • Entry is free for children 15 and under.

Parking

Fort McHenry offers free parking for visitors. Bus parking is also available at the site. 


The primary parking lot is at the Visitor Center.
