Tours of the Arkansas State Capitol Building are free and typically last 45 minutes. If you prefer to explore at your own pace, you can opt for a self-guided tour. You'll find guidebooks available on the 1st floor of the building or online to enhance your visit and learn about the state's rich history and government. It's a convenient and educational experience, and one of our favorite things to do in Little Rock.

Hours

The operating hours for the Arkansas State Capitol Building are as follows: 


Weekdays (Monday to Friday): 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM 

Weekends (Saturday and Sunday): 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM 

State Holidays: 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Exhibits

The Arkansas State Capitol Building offers several interesting exhibits for visitors to explore:


Building Forever: The Construction Story of the Arkansas State Capitol: This exhibit has the history of the Capitol building's construction.


Call of Duty: Arkansas at War: Discover Arkansas's role in major U.S. wars through this exhibit. Learn about the state's contributions and the stories of those who served.

Gift Shop

The gift shop at the Arkansas State Capitol Building is open on weekdays, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Here, you can find a variety of items, including Arkansas-made products, souvenirs, and apparel. It's a great place to pick up unique gifts and mementos to remember your visit to the Capitol and support local artisans.

500 Grill

The 500 Grill is a dining option located in the lower level of the Arkansas State Capitol Building. It serves both breakfast and lunch, offering a menu that includes salads, sandwiches, and other lunch staples. It's a convenient spot to grab a meal while visiting the Capitol, whether you're there for a tour or exploring the exhibits.
